The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Library and Information
Studies will again offer its popular tour to Scotland, July 25 - August
5, 2003. Our annual study tours offer library personnel and their
friends and families an opportunity to travel with a small, compatible
group, meet colleagues abroad, and visit many scenic and historic
places. We begin in the Edinburgh area, where we’ll spend five nights,
and make day trips to the Borders and Fife. The program will include
visits to several important libraries and free time to explore the
fascinating old city of Edinburgh.
We'll then spend four days away exploring the beautiful Highland lochs
and glens, with overnights in Highland towns, before going on to
Glasgow. The cost will be approximately $1695 (plus airfare), which
includes accommodations, most meals, group
excursions, admissions and tickets to events, ground transportation,
instructional fees and gratuities. For detailed information and
itinerary (and links to pictures and historical information), visit
