Collection Development Folk,
At the ALA ALTCS Publication Committee meeting in Atlanta, John Budd,Editor,
_Library Resources & Technical Services_ (LRTS), indicated that recent LRTS
submissions include too few articles in collection development/management
and he and the board would like to see more articles from our area of
librarianship.
If you are unfamiliar with LTRS, below is the scope note from the
ALA website:
"Library Resources & Technical Services (LRTS) is the official journal
of the Association of Library Collections & Technical Services, a
division of the American Library Association.
The purpose of LRTS is to support the theoretical, intellectual, practical,
and scholarly aspects of the profession of collection management and
development, acquisitions, cataloging and classification, perservation
and reformatting, and serials, by publishing articles (subject to
double-blind peer review) and book reviews, and editorials and
correspondence in response to the same."
