Reference Librarian/Instructional and Distance Learning Coordinator

Georgia Southwestern State University's James Earl Carter Library seeks a 
Reference Librarian/Instructional and Distance Learning Coordinator to 
develop and provide a full range of
user services as a member of a small reference team. Responsibilities 
include coordinating, developing, and participating in an innovative 
instructional program, online and database searching, collection 
development, evaluation and enhancement of the reference collection, the
development of bibliographic and teaching tools in a variety of formats and 
reference desk services and coordinating the Library's distance learning 
component. Weekend and/or evening work required.

Required qualifications; MLS from an ALA-accredited program or MLIS program 
approved by the Georgia Board of Regents; must have a strong 
user-orientation, be flexible and able to work well in a collaborative team 
environment, strong oral and written skills, knowledge and familiarity with 
emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
Reference/user services experience in an academic or research library; 
experience in using an integrated online system; experience with GALILEO or 
a similar consortium. This position holds faculty rank, tenure-tract, with 
a generous benefits package. Salary and rank commensurate with
