Do you like to be first?

Are you a media librarian? Do you have some duties or
responsibilities related to media resources and/or
materials?

Do you wonder how other academic librarians cope with
media acquisitions, cataloging, access, storage or
other issues related to media resources?

If you are going to the ALA Mid-Winter Conference in
New Orleans in January and you answered "yes" to any
of the questions above, then you should plan to attend
the very first meeting of the ACRL Media Resources
Discussion Group.

When? Sunday, January 20, 2002 from 9:30 - 11:00
a.m.
Where? Room 282 Morial Convention Center

We will be planning discussion topics and programs for
future sessions, organizing the administration of the
group, and choosing a convenient meeting time for
future conferences.

Whether you would like to be a part of piloting the
course of this new ACRL Venture or you just want to
see where it's headed, please mark your calendar and
join us on Sunday, January 20.

If you can't attend, but would like to receive a
report of the meeting's activity, please send e-mail
to: ortner_at_buffalo.edu
asking for the ACRL Media Resources Discussion Group
Inaugural Meeting minutes.

We welcome questions and suggestions.
