Dear CollDv-L,

We will be installing compact shelving and one of our scenarios is to
relocate all the humanities/social sciences/arts bound periodicals into
compact shelving, while keeping the current unbound issues in the Current
Periodicals Room. At the present time, the bound periodicals are integrated
with monographs, and arranged by their respective call numbers on
conventional book shelves.

Question: I would be curious to hear from other libraries about whether
they have done something similar and whether this has worked well from the
perspective of your library users and from the the perspective of your library
staff.

Thanks in advance,
