To the special nad/or corporate librarians on the list (well, we're all
special, but I'm using this in the technical sense...!):
We are working to develop a collection development policy here at RAND, and
have been having a hard time finding any examples of such policies for
special libraries. Would anyone be willing to share his or her library's
collection development policies? If you haven't done one (which seems to be
the case with most of the libraries we contacted!) I was hoping you might
discuss why not. Is it a function of time (or lack thereof)? Staff? CD
not a focus of your work? I'm quite interested in this.
Many thanks (and please feel free to contact me with any questions or
comments),
Susan
