I'm trying to start an e-book collection at my library and have run into
some snags. My major snag deals with off-campus students accessing the
collection; since we can't provide dial-up access or proxy servers we can't
use IP authentication for databases. I'm now researching how other small
universities (2000 students) authenticate off-campus students for their
databases (besides passwords). Has anyone used some sort of "referring
page"? Any help would be appreciated.
