The following information is urgently needed for a collection
development project at the University of South Dakota. The information will
be used only internally, so please e-mail your responses directly to me at
nmyers_at_usd.edu. If there is interest, and permission is given by each
respondent, I will provide a summary to the list. Answer only if you have
an approval plan.

1) Enrollment

2) What type of approval plan(s) do you have (general, university
press, art exhibition catalogues, language, etc.)?

3) a) Total materials budget for 2000-2001 and 2001-2002.
  b) Total budget for each approval plan for 2000-2001 and
2001-2002.

4) If you could afford only one approval plan, what type would you
choose?

Lastly, if anyone is aware of any statistics which compare approval plans
(expenditures, volumes, etc.) for institutions, that would be very helpful.
I haven't had much luck finding anything. Most statistics I've found have
numbers for monographic expenditures, but don't break them down into
approval plans, direct orders, etc.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
