COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT LIBRARIAN
FULL TIME/TENURE TRACK POSITION

Exciting opportunity to coordinate, plan, expand, and evaluate library
collections.  Responsibilities include: monitor approval plan profiles and
collection development policies; manage the approval plan to ensure
quality and profile accuracy; work with donors of
gifts-in-kind; coordinate selection activities of library faculty and work
closely with University faculty. Also includes liaison to one or more
academic programs, general reference duties, library instruction, and
service on library, university, and statewide library committees. This
position is a full time, tenure track position.  Reports to the Executive
Director of the Library.

Required Qualifications:
        ALA-accredited MLS; excellent interpersonal, written, and oral
communication skills; strong service
orientation; flexibility; initiative; demonstrated problem solving
skills; familiarity with electronic library-related resources

Preferred Qualifications:
        At least two years experience in an academic library; second
masters in a subject area, preferably in the Social Sciences; and
collection development background.
