Beloit College seeks a team-oriented, innovative librarian to lead
acquisitions, cataloging, and collection development activities. Reporting
to the College Librarian and supervising a department of 2 FTE staff plus
student assistants, the full-time Head of Technical Services and Collection
Development is a member of the Library's management team and works a
regular schedule at the reference desk that may include evening and weekend
hours. Required qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS, excellent
organizational skills, and oral and written communication skills, ability
to work effectively in a team environment, flexibility to accept, manage,
and incorporate change and manage multiple tasks and priorities. Desired
qualifications: Experience in an academic library technical services dept.
using OCLC and an automated library system, supervisory experience, and
reference experience in an academic library.
