Young Adult Services Librarian III

 Here's your chance! Our Young Adult Specialist has retired after a long
 and successful career and her position is open until filled. The
position
 is a Librarian III and the successful candidate will coordinate
 system-wide young adult services, youth web pages, plan and promote
 system-wide young adult programming, and provide training and direction
 for system staff. Requirements include MLS, website design skills,
 advanced computer skills and experience with young adults. Hiring

Customer Service/Children's Librarian I
  In addition to providing reference and readers advisory services, this
person will work with adults as well as children in guiding customers
through the vast array of library resources. Will provide circulation
assistance, supervise departmental volunteers, and work in
developing/maintaining the Library's collections. Fifty percent of work
includes providing and promoting children's programming to meet the
needs of
juvenile customers and adults working with children; making school
visits,
and providing assistance to the Youth Services Director. Requires a MLS,
computer skills, knowledge in the above areas and a willingness to learn
library operations. Hiring salary range: $32,105-36,921. Applicants are

Assistant Branch/Children's and YA Librarian at Bluford 
  For this Children's and YA/Assistant Branch Librarian, we're seeking a
creative; community minded children's librarian to plan programs and

leadership in library services to school age children and teens, large
numbers of whom use this branch located in the heart of Kansas City's
urban
core. This full time position requires a M.L.S. or equivalent, knowledge
of
literature and electronic resources, and some professional experience
providing services to these target age groups. Hiring salary range
begins at
