An addition response. You might want to check an article I co-authored
in 1982.

Colleagues,
Our Head of Rare Books and Special Collections, David Vancil
(libvanc_at_isugw.indstate.edu), who is not a member of this list asked
that I forward this information before my last working day prior to
retirement, December 19th. If anyone has any questions, please contact
David.
Indiana State University acquires two copies of most monographs by
faculty. Those that are multivolume or overly expensive may be excluded
from a second copy. The second copy goes into a faculty collection or
other appropriate special collection. Every monograph written or edited
by a faculty member is identified as such in the bibliographic record in
our online catalog, including the record for the circulating item.
An annual reception is held for authors/editors and visual and
performing artists. The visual and performing artsists were added to
the event two years ago. At Indiana State University, the event is
reasonably well-attended. During the festivities, the writers or
artists receive a framed certificate and are invited to make brief
comments about the process of creating their works. Afterwards, the
receipients and their guests mingle over beverages and finger food.
This has been an ongoing event since 1985.
