From: "Joanne Oud" <joud_at_wlu.ca>
We have recently decided to start buying 2 copies of all books
written/edited by faculty. One copy is for the circulating stacks so
students can find them, and one is for Special Collections/Archives,
where there is a section for faculty authors. The feeling is that
faculty books are part of the history/output of the university and
that we need to treat them as such by retaining in Special
Collections/Archives.
I'd also be interested in any information on how other libraries
recognize faculty authors.
