LIBRARIAN -CLINICAL MEDICAL LIBRARIAN:

Serves on unique clinical medical librarian team, participating in
Medical School hospital rounds. Provides reference services,
instruction, collection development, faculty liaison for Schools of
Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and area health professionals.
Reports to Assistant Director for the Health Sciences Libraries, and
participates on team developing public
services to support Libraries' service mission. Opportunities for
professional development are supported and required for promotion in
ranked, non-tenure track position. Extensive library automation.
Qualifications: ALA accredited MLS; exceptional interpersonal,
communication skills; energy, creativity, flexibility, commitment to
public service; ability to work positively, productively with diverse
constituencies in environment of rapid change; understanding of
scholarly research and clinical environments; evidence of professional
initiative, mature judgement; relevant information technology
experience; potential to meet promotion requirements in non-tenure track
appointment.
Preferred: Degree in sciences; current knowledge of medical library
service delivery trends, issues; AHIP; healthcare experience; current,
relevant instruction, reference, collection development experience.
Salary: $30,000 minimum. Benefits include health/dental plans; 75%
