One of the collection development librarians at my library asked
me to find information about lost materials. Specifically, she is
interested in the acceptable percentage of lost materials per
year. If you know of a source that I can consult or, if you have
a general percentage number that you use for your library, that
would be great. I have had no luck finding this information in
some general collection development/maintenance manuals, but it is
possible that I missed an important source.
Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
