CDL: Museum Libraries & CD

Hello: 

So far, I have only been a passive observer on this 
list while working as an intern in the Arizona State 
Museum Library on the University of Arizona campus in 
Tucson, Arizona.  My focus in on researching the literature 
and collecting policies for similar library environments. 
The Arizona State Museum library supports the museum and 
archives focusing on the areas of archeology and ethnology 
of the southwestern US/northwestern Mexico and Southwestern 
anthropology. 

I would like to ask if anyone has any input on, or can 
recommend literature sources for collection development 
in such an environment. I have previously contacted numerous 
natural science, anthropology, special collection and museum 
libraries nationwide for copies of their specific policies, 
but am not finding much information in the literature on 
collection development for these types of libraries.  

Any input or leads to sources, would be much appreciated. 
I'm happy to share my findings if this is standard for this list.
