Colleagues,

I work at a small, rural library in Colorado and am in the process of
completely revising our collection development policy. As I compare our
policy to others I have been able to find, I can see that the size of
collection, amount of staff, and size of the patron service areas all
make contributions to the philosophy and procedures outlined in a
policy. However, most of the policies I have found are from library
systems much larger than ours. Our little library only has about 35,000
volumes with a city population of about 7,500 (14,500 for the entire
county) and a staff of 4 full time and 5 part time employees. I was
wondering if there is anyone out there who worked in a comparable system
who would be willing to share their collection development policy with
me. If so, could you please privately email me with a URL or an
attached document in Word 97 or rich text format? I can also accept
snail mail at the address below.

Thanks in advance, and please feel free to contact me if you have any
questions.
