Hello.
At my library, we want to write a procedure for periodic review of our
serials selection. I would very much appreciate it if anyone could
forward any pearls of wisdom, anecdotes, or samples. Feel free to e-mail me
directly.
Thanks!

We have a drop/add process for new titles here every year. We notify faculty
that they may consider another title for addition if they propose one to be
dropped of similar monetary value. This forces them to look at titles in their
department and determine if they could do without one in order to subscribe to
another. We have not had a serials cut in this past decade, but we have not had
any additional funds to purchase new titles while keeping the old. This drop/add
process requires a review to determine if the current list of titles is still a
viable one for the courses offered and the research being done.
