New edition of Reference Reviews Europe is available!
Please check out the most recent edition of Reference Reviews Europe,
a journal that offers English-language reviews of European reference
titles. A valuable resource for selectors and others interested
in reference materials in a broad sense, it is published both online (RRE
Online) and yearly in print (RRE Annual). Abstracts of German reviews
of reference resources are provided by a number of members from the
ACRL West European Specialists Section (WESS), while others contribute
original reviews in English.
Reference Reviews Europe Online 98 3/4 is available on the Casalini Web
site at <http://www.rre.casalini.com>. Earlier issues can also
be accessed there. Currently there is no charge to use RREO; however,
in the near future unrestricted access to RREO will be available only by
subscribing to RREA.
A subscription to Reference Reviews Europe Annual 1998 costs $30.
Subscription information and an order form are available on the
Casalini Web site noted above. RREA 4 (1998) was published recently;
volumes 1-3 (1995-97) are still available, as well. A review in the May
1997 issue of CHOICE noted that the reviews in Reference Reviews Europe
"are exceptional in the information about scope, organization, and quality
of the reference works that they provide."
Sample issues of RREA will be available at the Casalini Libri booth
during the ALA Midwinter Meeting in San Antonio. Sample issues also
can be requested from Beau Case.
