I have heard it rumored that there is a very good conference every spring
in Oklahoma, perhaps Oklahoma City? Does anyone have info on that? I
have never seen a brochure and have been unable to locate info on the web.

Yes, there is such a beast. It is sponsored by the Univ of Oklahoma and
alternates between Norman & Okla City. If I remember right, it has always
been in March. Don Hudson at the OU library can give you details -
405-325-2611. If there is a webpage for the conference, please let the list
know.

There is a very good collection development conference in Oklahoma City.
It is sponsored by the University of Oklahoma and usually is the first
Thursday and Friday of March. Attendees are from all over the US,
although primarily from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado,
Utah... well you get the picture and usually a few Canadians also. Last
year's topic was Collection Development in the Electronic Environment:
Shifting Priorities. Speakers included Carla Stoffle, AZ, Fred Lynden,
Brown, Deborah Jakubs, Duke, Paul Kobulnicky, UCONN, etc.
