Our library system is in the process of developing a
Collection Development Policy for a professional collection.
This collection would
be loaned out to member libraries and deal with all issues
of public
librarianship, policy development, staffing, etc. Does
anyone have or know of an
example of a policy of this type that we could look at to
get some
ideas/liberally borrow from?

Try the Library Development and Services Office of Minnesota
651/582-8722.
They maintain an excellent professional lending Library.
