Subject: Collection Evaluation

I am in a public library with a central library and 8
branches. We have
about 556,000 volumes and we circulate about a million items
per year. In
the last couple of year our circulation has started going
down. We are
looking at how and what we buy. We have used circulation
statistics,
collection age, document delivery surveys and reader's
survey. I am very
interested in finding out what other libraries do to
evaluate their
collections.
