program:
"Usage Statistics for the Evaluation of Electronic Resources"

Program Description:
Libraries must evaluate the use of their materials in order to
make wise purchasing decisions. With the advent of online resources,
libraries are put in the position of depending on vendors for
information on usage. In this program, representatives of publishers of
both electronic journals and online databases will discuss their efforts
to provide usage statistics, and librarians will discuss attempts to
establish guidelines for the provision of these statistics.
