Here at UTK Libraries we are trying to develop some cooperative projects
with two other institutions. While all three institutions have
long-standing informal relationships, further development is complicated
by the following factors:
a) Two of the partners are public universities, while the third is
private;
b) the public universities are in different, adjoining, states.
All three online catalogs are available to users at all three campuses.
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has carried out any kind of
cooperative project in this kind of environment. What worked, what didn't,
what obstacles did you encounter? I'll be glad to share the results with
the list.
