The University of Virginia Library has embarked on a
project to benchmark reshelving practices. We are trying
to identify libraries with "best practices" for reshelving
and are finding that there is very little in the
literature about shelving books.

We would be grateful for responses from libraries of
comparable size (ca. 4 million volumes) that have conducted
studies of their shelving process and are willing to
participate in a brief email survey ( 7-10 questions) about
their reshelving practices and standards. Responses can be
sent directly to me at grt8r_at_virginia.edu
