SEEKING:  COLLECTION
DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

The Washington State Library (WSL), located in
Olympia, is currently recruiting for Collection
Development Coordinator for the Reference &
Research Team/Customer Services Program.
This position coordinates all agency-wide
collection development activities and related
budget allocations, working closely with the
Collection Development Policy Group (CDPG)
and WSL service teams in meeting the needs of
all WSL customer groups.  Collections reside in
12 institutional branches located throughout the
state, and five Olympia state agency branches,
plus the main library.  Position duties include
providing in-depth reference services.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum
Requirements -
A Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS)
from an American Library Association
accredited program and certification by the
Washington State Library Commission; or
certification by the Washington State Library
Commission by examination
-AND-
Five years of professional librarian experience,
two years which must include collection
development management and budget oversight
and one year reference experience in a subject
specialty.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
Salary:  $36,828 - $47,148 per year, depending
on qualifications and agency approval.
