I am interested to find out from members on tools and procedures adopted
in collection analysis as part of the library's collection development
plan. Specifically I am would like to know:

1) How do you conduct the collection analysis in your library?

2) Do you do on a regular basis?

3) If you do use III's SCAT table to get the statistical figures of
   of your collections, then against what reference point/benchmark
   do you measure to claim that your library has a "very strong
   collection" in certain disciplines, but rather "weak" in others;
   i.e. how do you do your comparative studies to get the indicators
   about the strength of your library's collections?

4) Is "Conspectus" still being widely practised in libraries?

Advice from all colldv-l members will be most welcome. If this has already
been discussed in colldv-l in the past, please refer me to the archives
in the discussion list.

Thank you in advance for your advice and assistance.
