Archives/Reference Librarian.  Search re-opened.  Birmingham-Southern College
and the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church seek
applicants for a permanent, non-tenured faculty position to begin as soon as
possible.  Responsibilities: 1) collection development, records management,
research services and maintenance of church materials; 2) general reference
service using print and electronic resources, library orientation,
bibliographic instruction.  Requirements: MLS, ALA-accredited institution,
with substantial coursework or an advanced degree in history or related
discipline; experience in a library and/or archival setting; familiarity with
technology-assisted reference services; teaching experience; strong
communication skills.  Background in church history, particularly United
Methodism, a plus.  The BSC Library serves 1500 students and 100 faculty and
has a collection of 200,000 volumes.  Salary competitive based on
qualifications and experience.  Applications accepted until position is
