Queries about accessing COLLDV-L archives - if they exist - are
periodically received. The List is archived, but to be honest, I find that
retrieving material from the archives via ListProc procedures is not very
efficient.

It appears that the existing online archive, via ListProc_at_usc.edu, goes
back to October 1996.

To do a subject search, send a message to Listproc_at_usc.edu. The syntax of
the message should be Search COLLDV-L -all <subject>. Using this procedure
and substituting Weeding as an actual subject (don't use the <> around the
subject word), the following results are achieved:

The only way I've figured out to obtain the actual complete text of an
archived posting is to then submit another message to Listproc_at_usc.edu, Get
COLLDV-L log####. This works, but unfortunately it also gets you all other
postings in log#### in addition to the one(s) you want, so there may be
lots of scrolling to do.

If this approach is still unsatisfactory for you, please contact me
directly and I'll do a quick scan of my private mailbox version of the
COLLDV-L archive.
