"Users and Their Needs: What do we REALLY Know about them?"
Focus groups, random timed surveys, online evaluation
forms...these are just a few of the ways to consult users. Come
and find out various ways to assess users and their needs. A
panel of librarians (who are in the process of writing a guide on
user needs assessment for ALA) will present a general overview of
various methods for needs assessment. Others who have coordinated
user surveys within their own institutions will share their
experiences.
