There has been some discussion of weeding policies on the list--what
about disposal policies? Has anyone developed a written policy concerning
the actual disposal of withdrawn material? Willing to share?
What are some of the responses at various institutions to the
occasional patron request for those old newspapers that are withdrawn when
the microfilm arrives, or for a withdrawn older edition of a directory or
phone book?
I will summarize for the list any responses sent directly to me.
