Collection Management & Interlibrary Loan Librarian
The University of Maryland, Baltimore County, an honors university serving
10,000 undergraduate and graduate students, has recently invested in a new
library building featuring extensive technological development and spends
$2 million annually on materials, including online resources (see
www.umbc.edu). We now seek an experienced librarian to manage collection
development (incl. gifts) and interlibrary loan/document delivery.
Position serves on library department head council and shares scheduled
evening and weekend reference hours.
Salary $33,000 - $37,000 with attractive benefits.
Qualifications: ALA-accredited MLS. 2 years professional academic
library collection management or interlibrary loan experience preferred.
Strong working knowledge of electronic information resources and delivery
systems are required, as are demonstrated analytical, supervisory,
organizational, and communications skills.
