As the new chair of the CMDS Discussion Group of Collection
Development Librarians in Academic Libraries, I am seeking input from
members of COLLDV-L to identify topics and likely presenters for
upcoming discussion group meetings in New Orleans and Washington. In
the most recent polling of discussion group attendees, the most
popular potential topics were (a) CD and internet resources, (b)
evaluation of electronic vendor databases, (c) impact of document
delivery on CD and (d) outsourcing of selection.

I would be interested to hear further from anyone with interest in
these topics or with suggestions of individuals who may be
qualified/interested to lead a discussion on one of these topics. I
have gotten feedback from a number of attendees that they would like
to see more discussion and less formal presenting. If you are or know
someone who would be interested in helping to lead a discussion,
please email me at the address below. Other thoughts on upcoming
discussion group meetings are welcome.
