       As librarians everywhere - regardless of how large or small
their institutions - struggle with the challenges posed by users'
demands for information in multiple formats, shrinking budgets, and
technology evolving with dizzying speed the following promises to be
a timely as well as helpful program.

SPEAKERS:
       "The Consortial Environment" - MERRYLL S. PENSON, director of
the library at Columbus State University, Georgia since 1984,
currently serves as Vice President/President Elect of the OCLC Users
Council. She is also a member of the GALILEO Steering Committee and
chairs a committee that seeks funding for a statewide
integrated, interconnected library system for Georgia's public higher
education institutions.
     "Full-Text Electronic Journal Collections" - TIM JEWELL is Head
of the Electronic Information Program at the University of Washington
Libraries since 1992. In 1996 he was also appointed Visiting Program
Officer for Electronic Resources at ARL studying ARL libraries'
investments in electronic resources.
     "Selection of Full-Text Services" - ROBERT B. MCGEACHIN,
Agriculture Reference Librarian at Texas A&M University, College
Station since 1994, is currently co-chair of the ACRL-STS
Publisher/Vendor Relations Committee.

Each panelist will speak for about twenty minutes with time for
questions from the audience at the end.  There will be handouts and an
extensive bibliography.
