Dear reader,

At the moment I'm working on a final-paper for my study 'Librarian and
Information Science'. My employer in this is the Library of Physics
and Astronomy at Utrecht Univesity in the Netherlands. With relation
to coordinated collection development, I'm looking for an existing
(automated) concordance between our Physics and Astronomy
Classification Scheme (PACS) and the Dutch Basicclassification (BC).
If such a concordance doesn't exist, I'll be forced to look for
another solution: for example a concordance between PACS and the
Conspectus-classification AND further a concordance between the
Conspectus-classification ant the Dutch Basicclassification. In the
Netherlands, as far as I know, concordances have been made between: -
the LCC and the Dutch Basicclassification - Dewey and the Dutch
Basicclassification - UDC and the Dutch Basicclassification. So a
concordance between PACS and LCC, Dewey or UDC should also be
possible. Does anybody know if (and where) (automated) concordances as
mentioned exist?

I would appreciate any help you can give. Please sent your reply to:
p.griffioen_at_ruu.fys.nl or spirit_at_dds.nl

Thank you very much.

Met vriendelijke groet,
