I have recently become the book review editor for the Haworth journal,
COLLECTION MANAGEMENT. I am looking for persons who like to write book
reviews and who can meet deadlines.
To quote the journal itself, "COLLECTION MANAGEMENT is expanding its
editorial direction and focus in order to provide practical experience
and results of applied research for librarians who are responsible for
all phases of developing and maintaining collections in all types of
libraries." I am therefore receiving books that cover a wide spectrum of
topics. At present I have books on hand covering such wide-ranging
topics as reference sources (in general and by subjects), electronic
resources, interlibrary loan, collection development, and new
directions in technical services, relating variously to public, academic,
school, and special libraries.
If you are interested in reviewing a book occasionally for COLLECTION
MANAGEMENT, please contact me. Do not reply to this list! If you know
of others who might like to do so, please forward this message to them.
