I work part-time at a community college that is building a branch
campus. We're trying to figure out what would be an appropriate
budget for a start up library collection. The new campus will
primarily serve business and health science students. We expect 2000
FTE.
Does anyone have an experience with such a situation, or does anyone
know of a place to consult for more information? I've searched all
the library list archives I could find (and we've also done a
"traditional" literature search :-). Other members of our library
team are building up a list of "must-have" titles, and we will
extrapolate from there what we think the budget should be. But, we'd
like to have some more figures to point to justify our numbers to the
powers that be.
Can anyone help? I need the information this week...
:-)
