Getting to SUNY New Paltz
The College is conveniently located near the New York State Thruway (I-
87). From the Thruway(in either direction), take exit 18 (New Paltz).
Turn left at traffic light past toll booths onto Rt. 299(Main Street).
Turn Left at THIRD traffic light onto South Manheim Blvd.(Rt. 32S)
Proceed .5 mile and turn right into main college entrance. Use
Administration Building parking lot. Student Union Building is to the left
of Haggerty Administration Building.
Parking
Parking passes are required for on-campus parking and will be provided at
no charge. You may put this brochure on your windshield until you pick up
a pass at the registration table.
Shuttle From Poughkeepsie Train Station
A shuttle bus will be provided at the Poughkeepsie Train Station for
conference attendees. Passengers should look for a West Point Tours yellow
school bus. The shuttle will leave the Poughkeepsie Train Station at 9:00
a.m. Return trip will leave the SUNY New Paltz campus at 3:10 p.m. sharp!
Conference Location
Registration will be held in the Student Union Building (SUB) 2nd floor
lobby. Refreshments, morning keynote and panel program will be held in SUB
Purple Lounge. Lunch will be in the SUB,Multi-Purpose Room. The
afternoon sessions will be held in the SUB, Meeting Rooms. The
emergency phone number during the conference is (914) 257-3714 (Sojourner
Truth Library Circulation Desk).
Accommodations
Please contact the Super 8 Motel directly if you are interested in making
reservations. Ask for the college rate. (Turn left off Thruway, onto Rt.
299. Turn left at first light then a quick left). For those
arriving Thursday, the Program Committee is planning a dinner and social
at Blue Jeans Steak House directly across from the Super 8 Motel. Please
indicate on your reservation form if you are interested in joining us for
dinner.
