The University of Minnesota Libraries and MINITEX invite you to attend
"Meeting the Challenge: Traditional Collections in an Online Future". Three
nationally recognized speakers will explore issues and solutions for
collection management, preservation, and access decisions in the "Online
Future." The speakers are:
Ross Atkinson, Associate University Librarian, Cornell University Library
Wes Boomgaarden, Preservation Officer, Ohio State University
Claire Q. Bellanti, Head Access Services University Research Library, UCLA
& Director, UC Southern Regional Library Facility
The symposium will take place on May 5, 1997 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on
the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota. The registration fee
for non-University of Minnesota staff is $40.00, which includes lunch. The
registration deadline is April 1, 1997. Attendance will be limited to the
first 200 registrations received.

name, affiliation, address, telephone/fax number and E-mail address to:

The Sheraton Minneapolis Metrodome, located near the St. Paul Campus, is
offering a preferred room rate of $70.00 per night plus tax. This is
