Core Webinar: Transform and Thrive: Fostering Well-Being
Date: Wednesday, February 4, 2026
All webinars are one hour in length and begin at 11 am Pacific, noon
Mountain, 1 pm Central, and 2 pm Eastern time.
Description:
Library staff and administration do more than simply point people toward
books and information—we foster well-being for ourselves and others. One
way to promote well-being is by tapping into the entrepreneurial spirit and
applying it within the library organization—starting with the end in mind,
tapping dignity, unity, and harmony in our thinking and daily activities,
and creatively reducing bureaucracy.
This session draws out the best thinking on well-being, mindfulness, and
catching the entrepreneurial spirit to fill our daily activity with
enthusiasm, goodwill, and calmness. Nurturing these qualities helps tap and
build upon our strengths. The tips and suggestions presented in the session
demonstrate that much can be incorporated into our routines at no cost.
The overarching goals are to optimize planning and prioritizing, increase
the quality of community engagement, and help us discover better service
solutions. Join us to go beyond balancing too many projects with too little
time. Discover how to foster well-being and promote self-renewal. As
Emerson reminds us, “Life consists in what a person is thinking of all
day.” This session won’t tell you what to think but rather will show how to
activate creative thinking and enrich daily activities in practical ways.
