Hello,
We reached out with some specific questions last week and received a case number, but no response to date. Our current leasing arrangement ends on 10/31/2025.
Amanda M. Lowe, who is one of two librarians who select the leased titles for our library, is interested in learning how other libraries are leasing popular books. I am sharing her message below on her behalf. Please respond on list or off list to Amanda. Thank you in advance for your information.
Here is Amanda’s contact information:

UAlbany currently uses Baker & Taylor’s lease program to support our Popular Books Collection and we’re exploring alternatives given B&T's imminent end in early 2026. I’m aware of Ingram and McNaughton options, but I’d love to crowdsource your experiences and (if you’re comfortable) rep contacts.
If you’ve worked with a leasing program recently, could you share, on or off list (you don't have to answer all the questions 🙂):
• Which vendor and lease model are you using (Ingram, McNaughton, or other)?
• A contact person (name + email) you’d recommend.
• What you like/don’t like (pricing structure, return cycles, selection tools, processing, MARC records, invoicing, lead times).
• Rough timeline for set-up and first shipment.
Regards,
Kate

Hi all,
Have any of you heard from B&T concerning your leased books? I can't imagine that they'd want us to return a chunk of our collection since they no longer have the staff to handle huge returns. I sent an email to the customer support address listed in the email they sent out last Tuesday, but haven't heard anything from them.
Thanks,
Sarah Feher
