The University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) seeks a highly skilled, agile, compassionate, and confident leader to serve as University Librarian and Director of the Auraria Library. The Auraria Library serves a downtown Denver campus with three higher education institutions-CU Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver. While the library provides equitable support across all three institutions, comprising nearly 40,000 Auraria Campus students and thousands of faculty and staff, the position reports to the CU Denver Provost. The Auraria Library is one of Colorado's busiest academic libraries, with more than 650,000 physical books, nearly 2 million digital resource impressions, and 320,000 annual visits. Approximately 15 percent of all Colorado college students are educated on the Auraria Campus, in a highly diverse urban setting. The library has bold aspirations for supporting its partners' learning, research, and service missions, and is cultivating intersections across educational technology, innovative learning spaces, digital media, digital scholarship, researcher support, research instruction, and public services.
