Call for Proposals
SUNYLA Midwinter Online Conference
Integration Station: The Fast Track to Interoperability

Friday, February 7, 2025

Libraries have an ever-increasing number of systems, software, and technology tools available. Making different systems, often from different vendors, work together can be a challenge. While integrating systems and/or technologies may not always be easy, when librarians put their creative problem solving expertise to use, the library services and tools developed through these integrations can be amazing!

Are you passionate about interoperability? Do you have any amazing integrations that you’re excited to show off? Did you succeed in the struggle just to make two pieces talk together or learn something by failing to? This conference is for you! The SUNYLA Midwinter Online Conference planning committee is seeking proposals from presenters looking to share their experience with creative integration solutions.

Some possible presentations could include:

  *
Working with APIs
  *
Open source systems in libraries
  *
Incorporating library resources/services in learning management systems
  *
Reporting data from multiple platforms
  *
Integrating web resources into the catalog
  *
Adapting systems’ out-of-the-box capabilities
  *
Troubleshooting existing integrations

And beyond! The possibilities are endless!

Come share your experiences with your supportive and non-judgmental library colleagues at the SUNYLA Midwinter Virtual Conference on Friday, February 7, 2025 (10:00am - 3:30pm EST).

Presentations should be 15-20 minutes in length, in a format that best suits your topic. All presentations will be recorded live and shared on the conference website after the event.

Technology requirements: Computer, internet connection, microphone/speakers (headset recommended) or telephone, quiet space for presenting, webcam optional.

Accepting proposals until Friday, December 6, 2024. You do not need to be a SUNYLA member in order to attend or present at this FREE conference. Those who submit proposals should expect to hear back from us regarding their proposals by early January if not sooner. Please submit your proposal here: https://forms.gle/UNxv8gJbw6mzYNuf6

Thank you!
