The December issue of CD HotList: New Releases for Libraries has been posted and is freely available to all. This month’s recommendations include a bumper crop of world-premiere recordings of works by the likes of Saverio Mercadante, Giovanni Casali, and the mysterious “Mrs Philharmonica”; newly unearthed live recordings by vibes player Cal Tjader; new children’s songs from Mr. Greg, Cass McCombs, and Alba Careta & Henrio; massively expanded reissues from New Order and Bob Marley & the Wailers; and another in my occasional series of all-reggae World/Ethnic sections.
