Education Librarian
The Education Librarian provides innovative and high-quality programming and services for students, faculty, staff, and the community at UMass Amherst. The work of the Academic Engagement department includes building partnerships and promoting library services with assigned liaison areas, providing research assistance, designing and implementing information literacy instruction and programming for undergraduate and graduate students, and creating and participating in outreach opportunities. The position is responsible for supporting activities within the department in partnership with colleagues in the department as well as across the Libraries and on campus. Academic Engagement liaisons actively collaborate with faculty and students in meeting both the teaching and research aims of the university and the Education Librarian serves a vital role in ensuring the Libraries are poised to meet the goals outlined in the University's strategic plan.
