For anyone interested, I have a piece in the Scholarly Kitchen today calling on the US Copyright Office to stop forcing libraries and archives to lie to their patrons about their rights with regard to copyright works.

The post is here:
https://scholarlykitchen.sspnet.org/2023/07/05/why-does-the-u-s-copyright-office-require-libraries-to-lie-to-users-about-their-fair-use-rights-they-wont-say/

I also invite all so inclined to sign the relevant petition at https://chng.it/NRNZMXvW.
