The University Libraries at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks an innovative, collaborative, and engaged Head of Technical Services to lead a highly skilled and dedicated team of librarians and professional staff. The Technical Services department at the University Libraries consists of 21 staff in two units: Resource Acquisitions and Management (RAM) and Resource Description and Management (RDM). The Head of Technical Services will provide vision and direction in keeping with the libraries' pillars: Student Success, Preservation, and Research. This newly re-envisioned role is instrumental in furthering the University Libraries' goals around Sustainable Scholarship and is at the heart of the collections' lifecycle.
