The libraries at UW-Madison are now searching for two Monograph Acquisitions Assistants as well as a Serials Acquisition Assistant. Below you will find the descriptions for each.

Monograph Acquisitions Assistants: The Acquisitions Department of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's General Library System is seeking two organized, detail-oriented candidates to provide acquisitions services for library resources in a variety of formats for a library system at a large research institution. The successful applicants will efficiently acquire materials for the library collections from established domestic and international vendors, ensuring proper receipt of ordered materials and prompt processing of vendor invoices. The ideal candidates will be familiar with music library materials such as scores, sheet music, and recordings in all formats; can identify bibliographic information in one or more foreign languages; be familiar with purchasing and accounting principles; be flexible, pay close attention to detail; be able to prioritize multiple competing demands, and work independently and with a team.
