Let's Get Technical is a column in the journal Against the Grain which focuses on practical problems and solutions in Technical Services departments. Columns are typically 1500 words in length.

 Some ideas for topics include :

* Adaptations to work and workflows due to staff attrition or new library systems

* Assessment and review processes of on-going commitments

* Discovery and access issues with large packages of electronic materials

* Budgeting for and managing streaming media (film and audio)

* Collecting models for monographs: EBA, PDA, DDA, and approval

* Acquisitions and ILL workflows and collaboration

* Equity, diversity, and inclusion in technical services

* Managing university accessibility requirements for electronic resources

* Course reserves - physical versus online material needs and issues

* Cataloging and metadata workflows and solutions

*        ILS Solutions, particularly FOLIO

What other problems have you found a solution for? We would like to hear from a wide variety of voices!

Proposals should include

*  Article title

* Abstract or summary (less than 200 words)

* Name, title, affiliation, and email address for all writers
