Try Radiator Comics. https://www.radiatorcomics.com/ I dealt with them in the past. They were willing to search and invoice. They also went to tables at shows on our behalf. Not sure if they do that sort of thing. They are located in Florida, but used to be in Chicago. I second teaming up with a local store to see if you could set up want lists and standing order for series. Ephemeral things are always tricky to source without spending a lot of time. Usually it is worth the effort as they are the unique things. Good luck! Many of these materials are fleeting, ephemeral, and hard to get through our regular suppliers. As a result, we’ve turned to using vendors through Amazon or its marketplace, and even ebay to find materials. These creates workflow issues for us, as we need to pay by credit card, and then reconcile the account, as opposed to being invoiced, and sometimes suppliers are not that reliable or used to dealing with institutions. (Additionally we’ve had our credit card account compromised too on occasion). For those of you who are also collecting in these areas, do you have recommendations of suppliers with whom you work? We would love to build up some relationships with suppliers where we could send lists of potential items, let them do some of work of finding these hard-to-find materials, and also be able to have them invoice us?
